In rhombus $ABCD$ , point $P$ lies on segment $\overline{AD}$ so that $\overline{BP}$ $\perp$ $\overline{AD}$ , $AP = 3$ , and $PD = 2$ . What is the area of $ABCD$ ? (Note: The figure is not drawn to scale.)
