2013 Fermat Problem 23

One bag contains 2 red marbles and 2 blue marbles. A second bag contains 2 red marbles, 2 blue marbles, and g green marbles, with g > 0. For each bag, Maria calculates the probability of randomly drawing two marbles of the same colour in two draws from that bag, without replacement. (Drawing two marbles *without replacement* means drawing two marbles, one after the other, without putting the first marble back into the bag.) If these two probabilities are equal, then the value of g is

\textbf{(A)}\ 4\quad \textbf{(B)}\ 5\quad \textbf{(C)}\ 6\quad \textbf{(D)}\ 7\quad \textbf{(E)}\ 8
